In addition, we now offer the ROSE procedure for the treatment of Weight Regain after Gastric Bypass surgery. Drs. Pinnar and Greene are two of approximately twenty surgeons in the world to be trained to perform this new advanced and innovative technique. The ROSE (Restorative Obesity Surgery, Endolumenal) procedure is a completely incisionless endoscopic surgery that uses a new state-of-the-art scope that allows the surgeons to pass precise specialized surgical instruments through operating channels of the endoscope. These advanced instruments are then used to grasp, fold and stitch tissue of the dilated pouch and stoma. The special sutures with tissue anchors are used to create multiple tissue folds around the stoma to reduce its size in diameter. The surgeon will then use the same technique to place the same sutures and tissue anchors in the stomach pouch to reduce its size in volume. Thereby, a gastric bypass patient with weight regain can achieve restored feelings of fullness and diminished hunger that allowed them to be initially successful.
