There are medical conditions that are related to, or made worse by obesity. These are called co-morbidities and categorized as major or life-threatening problems, and minor or more common conditions that are not as life-threatening.

A morbidly obese adult has a 33% chance of living to age 65 as that of a normal weight person.



Morbidly obese males between ages of 25 and 35 have 12x the chance of mortality as normal weight men.



According to the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), more than 1,000 people die from obesity and it’s related health conditions in the United States EVERY DAY.
