Robi Tamargo, Psy.D.
(Reston office)Dr. Tamargo has been a clinical psychologist since 1990 and has worked with Advanced Weight Loss Solutions’ patients since 2004. In addition to providing the psychological evaluations and follow up support for our patients, she also counsels individuals, children and families. “Dr. T” enjoys entertaining with her husband, Jim and their daughters, Audrey and Riley. She is very active in sports with the girls and coaches Riley's soccer team. She also enjoys playing field hockey regularly with her team.
Philip Cohen, PA-C
Philip “the Phil-er” Cohen joined our team in October 2007. Philip has been a PA since 1981 and has many years of experience in surgery and patient care and we are thrilled to have someone of his caliber on our team. Phil assists Dr. Pinnar in surgery, and is also responsible for ongoing patient care and band adjustments. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Pamela, and his three children.
Linda McGavisk, PA-C
Linda has been a clinician for more than 8 years and has worked with Dr. Greene since 2007. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her Masters degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Prior to joining Dr. Greene and his bariatric practice, Linda worked in internal medicine and family practices. After cultivating a sound basis for understanding the patient's holestic needs, she now applies the idea of healthy living to support our bariatric patients.

Wendy has worked with Dr. Greene for 3 years. With a background in management and insurance billing, she seamlessly coordinates each patient’s surgery and helps change lives. As a Gastric Bypass patient, she understands the unique needs of weight loss surgery patients. When Wendy is not at work, she spends time with her family and plays with her dog. As the office computer whiz, she sharpens her skills by tinkering with her home computer. Nothing excites her more than working with patients and passing along the motivation that inspired her weight loss.
Gloria Randall, Insurance & Finance Coordinator and Surgery Schedule Manager
(Reston office)Gloria brings over 30 years of experience in healthcare finance and insurance. She joined Advanced Weight Loss Solutions in July 2007 and has quickly become an integral part of the team. She enjoys interacting with our patients and helps them understand how to navigate through insurance company submissions. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Germaine and her granddaughter, Brittany and she also an avid reader.
Devin Oliver, Clinical & Patient Coordinator and Billing Specialist

Devin K. Oliver attended Sanford Brown Institute and is a certified medical assistant. She has worked in physical therapy, internal medicine, radiology and now enjoys working in Dr. Greene’s office. When she is not at work she likes to travel, spend time with her family and friends, and exercise. She has a 6 year old son and another one on the way!

Ada’s smile is one of the warmest invitations to our office. She joined the team in March 2008, and has helped several patients reach their weight loss goals. As one of Dr. Greene’s band patients, she has lost 100 pounds since her surgery in July 2007. In her free time she walks through her neighborhood, dances around her home and journals about what keeps her motivated and inspired. Ada often says each day is a new opportunity to help another patient optimize their band and their weight loss. She is the perfect person to take along on your weight loss journey.
Patti Hessman, Patient Coordinator
Patti was in the travel industry for 20 years and still enjoys seeing the world. In 2004, she began working for her close friend, Dr. Tamargo, as her billing manager and insurance coordinator. When Dr. Tamargo began seeing patients in the new AWLS office suite, Patti began helping out (an understatement) as patient coordinator for AWLS. As a successful band patient, Patti brings a first-hand excitement to AWLS. In her spare time, Patti enjoys spending time with her son, Nathan.
Kim Wetmore, Patient Coordinator

Kimberly is one of the first people to greet you when entering our Rockville office. As a native of the area, she joined the team after 8 years in the general automotive insurance industry. As one of five siblings, Kimberly appreciates and understands team work and overall camaraderie. She has one son, Sean, and they play at the park in her free time.
Nicole Devenish, Medical Assistant

Nicole is a recent graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a major in BioBehavioral Health with a medical emphasis. As an aspiring medical student, she is well versed in the core sciences but seeks real life experiences. Nicole has worked as Dr.Greene’s medical assistant for close to a year and appreciates the valuable lessons learned as well as her one-on-one patient interactions. The most rewarding part of her job is witnessing patients grab hold of their life before and after bariatric surgery to become healthier both mentally and physically. In her spare time, she takes evening classes at Montgomery College and spends time with family and friends.

Woody McMahon, Exercise Physiologist
(Reston)Woody has been working as a health and fitness professional for over 20 years. Before starting his career as a healthy lifestyle coach, Woody earned his Bachelors of Science degree in human biology from the University of Maryland, his Doctorate in chiropractic medicine from Palmer College of Chiropractic and is certified as a personal trainer through the National Strength Professionals Association. Woody assists clients with complex healthy lifestyle problems and his personal and professional experience allows him to assist many people considered beyond help. Woody makes each solution FUN and challenging with just the right mix of physical activity, healthy eating and stress reduction activities.
